Co-curricular Program

Sacred Heart girls enjoy a wide range of co-curricular opportunities that are designed to complement and extend their passions and talents, and appeal to a diversity of interests.

All curriculum areas support the co-curricular life of the College so that activities are widely promoted and linked to learning within the curriculum.

Opportunities include:

  • Debating and Public Speaking
  • Interschool carnivals in association with the Secondary Catholic Schools Association and the South Eastern Sporting Group
  • College House Athletics and Swimming Sports
  • Arts and House Arts Festival
  • A wide range of sporting opportunities some of which include: Athletics and Swimming Carnivals, aerobics, basketball, cross-country, soccer and volleyball
  • A variety of clubs including: Chess Club, Maths Club, Study Club, Book Club, Science Club, Fitness and Running Clubs
  • Lunchtime Music Concerts
  • Drama Nights
  • A variety of College Bands, Ensembles, Orchestras and Choirs
  • Annual Music Concert
  • Premier’s Reading Challenge
  • Icthus Prayer group and St. Vincent de Paul group
  • Camps and field trips

Private Instrumental Music Program

The College also offers private lessons in Instrumental Music. Payments for these lessons are additional to the College School Fees. For more information please contact the Music Department on 9568 5488. A Music Application Form for 2019 is available at the Music Office.
