Year 7 Science
Term 1 saw Year 7 students explore the world of Science through "Being a Scientist". They learned about scientific equipment, experimental design and variables, discovering how these skills are applied in real-world science. Students also investigated their role in designing investigations that lead to discoveries and innovations.
Year 9 Science
As part of the Year 9 Ecology topic, students examined owl pellets, containing the indigestible remains of an owl’s prey. Working in groups, students dissected the pellets to identify fur, bones and teeth. This practical activity reinforces real-world applications, emphasising species relationships within an ecosystem.
Year 12 Physics
A couple of weeks ago, Year 12 Physics students took their studies to Luna Park. They examined the principles of motion on roller coasters and gravity-defying rides, gathering key data for their SAC and exploring how theoretical concepts apply in everyday contexts.
