Year 10 Outdoor Education - Summit Camp

Last week, Year 10 students and teachers had an unforgettable experience at the Outdoor Education Summit Camp. Exploring the diverse landscapes of Lake Eildon, Mt Arapiles or Wilsons Promontory, students pushed their limits through activities like hiking, abseiling, rock climbing and canoeing.

We are incredibly proud of their enthusiasm and resilience in embracing these challenges!

Level Leader - Year 10

One of the most unforgettable moments was conquering our fears while abseiling. We quickly realised that heights can be intimidating, but our encouragement for each other made all the difference. That same support kept us going on the tough—but totally worth it—hikes up the mountains. Reaching the peaks of Mt Oberon and Mt Bishop felt surreal, as if we were walking through the clouds!

When we weren’t hiking, we were making a splash at the beaches or playfully trying to knock each other off our paddle boards. Nighttime came with its own challenges - keeping our snacks safe from sneaky wombats determined to raid our tents!

This camp was the perfect way for many of us to wrap up our Sacred Heart Outdoor Education journey, creating memories that will stay with us forever. A massive thank you to all the instructors and staff who made this experience possible—it wouldn’t have been the same without you!
